Physician shall provide clinical services that are reasonably and commonly within the scope of services provided by a physician specializing in Emergency and Internal Medicine Hospitalist consistent with Physicianxe2x80x99s licensure, training and privileges, including but not limited to examining patients; performing medical and surgical procedures; prescribing medication or treatment; conducting hospital rounds; consulting with other practitioners; providing call coverage for Hospitalxe2x80x99s emergency department; supervising clinical support staff as requested by Hospital; etc. In addition to such clinical services, Physician shall also perform administrative and other duties related to Physicianxe2x80x99s clinical services and Hospitalxe2x80x99s operations as reasonably requested by Hospital or required by medical staff bylaws, rules, or policies, including but not limited to participation in Hospitalxe2x80x99s quality assurance, credentialing, peer review, strategic planning, education, community relations, compliance, and other activities. Physician shall provide Services on a full-time basis 60 hours a week. Salary is commensurate with experience. Key Responsibilities: Perform thorough patient evaluations, including history-taking and physical examinations to determine the severity of conditions. Diagnose and treat patients with a wide range of acute medical conditions and injuries. Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies to inform clinical decisions. Develop and implement treatment plans, including emergency interventions, medication prescriptions, and referrals for follow-up care. Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and support staff to ensure quality patient care and coordinate treatment plans effectively. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and care provided in the electronic health record (EHR). Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care. Participate in on-call rotation and assist with trauma and code blue situations as needed. Uphold the highest standards of medical ethics and professionalism. Qualifications: Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school. Board certification in Emergency Medicine preferred; other relevant certifications may be considered. Valid medical license to practice in the state of Idaho. Strong clinical skills and experience in emergency medicine settings. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Ability to remain calm and make quick, informed decisions in high-pressure situations.
